Hello, I am Coach Tony… Welcome to Operation Melt!
My name is Coach Tony, and I am a coach, author and project manager on a mission. I am working to build a world where no goal ever dies of loneliness.
I almost allowed one of my biggest life goals to die without ever being attempted for forty years. My goal almost died, not of failure but of loneliness. But, I took a risk and leveraged a simple, logical process that helped me wildly exceed my goal.
I transformed my life, and you can do the same with the help of Operation Melt.
Operation Melt provides engaging, practical content and hands-on coaching to inspire, motivate and equip project managers and other left-brained high-achievers to pursue and accomplish their biggest goals.
Ask Me Anything…
In Ask Coach Tony, you can put my Operation Melt coaching to the test by asking me questions about how to achieve your goals.
Because a question asked by one is often a question had by many, I am regularly sharing these answers via the Operation Melt blog.
Amuse Bouche
Before we get to today’s post, I offer you this light “amuse-bouche” to entertain your mind before we get down to business. Like any other amuse-bouche, you may hate my “dad joke,” but it is worth every penny you paid for it, right?
I mentioned to a friend that I saw a deer on the way to work this morning. Then he asked me, “how did you know it was on its way to work?!”
Ask Coach Tony: Are You Setting Another New Year’s Theme?
Coach Tony: You recapped how you did with your New Year’s theme/intention for last year; are you setting another intention for this year?
As I explained in last week’s post (see Happy New Year!!! How Are My Goals Looking?), this is the first week of my new year. So, that means this is the moment of truth. Did my upgrades to New Year’s resolutions work for me, and will I try it again?
I am happy to report that my upgrades worked so well that I am repeating the process this year!
Just Be in 2023
I heard a quote this week that resonated with me.
“What would I be solving for if I wasn’t trying to fix myself?”
Lindsay Dotzlaf
It occurred to me that I have spent the past several years trying to “fix” things about myself. However, if my profit-taking from the past year taught me anything, I was reminded I am not broken. There is no need to focus on fixing myself.
Further, I have also spent many years trying to make big changes in my life. Whether pursuing a career path, launching a business, getting healthy or one of the countless other goals, I keep making changes. This year, I need a break to let life catch up with these changes.
My New Year’s intention for this year will be “Just Be in 2023.”
My intention doesn’t mean that I won’t be pursuing goals or giving up on self-improvement. But, I will not focus on making any big changes in my life, and I certainly won’t be trying to “fix” myself. Instead, I intend to stick to the plans I have already put in place, adjust as needed, be of service to others, and just live my life.
Said differently, I will trust the process and let the results happen for me. I don’t need to force anything.
Since my suggested upgrades to the New Year’s resolutions process worked this well for me, I am confident they will work for you too. Need some help figuring out your New Year’s intention? I’m here to help!
